Shows at Disneyland Paris

Whether you are going to a Broadway worthy production or something fun for the kids, the most important advice for shows is… YOU DON’T HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR SHOWS at Disneyland Paris.

Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure

What is it: A 30 mins innovative multi-sensory adventure based on some of your favourite Pixar pals! There’s a live band which forms a central part of the story and really enhances the experience.

Where: Studio Theatre / Studio 2 in Walt Disney Studios. When you walk through Studio 1 (the entrance building) take a straight left at the end. For a shortcut, take a left before exiting Studio 1, past the toilets and out the door!

When: 4 shows per day starting around 11am and finishing up at 4.30pm (as at September 2023). You’ll want to queue 30 mins before showtime to make sure you get a relatively good central seat. Sitting in the centre of the theatre for this show really improves your experience!

Who will enjoy it? All Pixar lovers and music lovers! We follow a young kid called Charlie who needs the help of the Pixar gang to put a piece of music back together for a school recital.

How much does it cost? NADA, nothing! The theatre itself is pretty big and very modern. There’s no “secure your seat” option but you can get Mastercard VIP tickets by visiting Studio Services or City Hall 2 hours before the show and showing your MasterCard.

My take: The most ambitious show at Disneyland Paris. Great music mixed with immersive technology. You will feel air as you fly, get a slight splash and sense every note played by the live band. Brilliant and a must-see! Reminder that photography and video-taking is not allowed. Just enjoy the show!

The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands

What is it: A 30 mins run through of the best songs from Lion King 1 & 2 with amazing vocals, acrobatics and special effects.

Where: Frontierland Theatre in Disneyland Park, just to the left of Cowboy Cookout Barbecue. If you are walking past Big Thunder Mountain (when its on your left) keep going.

When: 4 shows per day starting around noon and finishing up just before 5pm. You’ll want to queue 30 mins before showtime to make sure you get a relatively good seat.

Who will enjoy it? Everyone! This is the best show at Disneyland Paris and I would happily pay to see this in the West End or Broadway!

How much does it cost? NOTHING - its totally included in your park ticket and it’s in a huge theatre with bench seats so has a very big capacity. Priority access cardholders can enter early using a dedicated queue to choose seats best suited to their needs. Disney offers a facility to “secure your seat” for 15 EUR each. In my experience this is not neccessary!

My take: Do not miss this show! It’s ROAR-some! (sorry)

Mickey and the Magician

What is it: 30 mins of Magic with Disneyland’s main attraction. Mickey gets up to mischief, causing some of Disney’s biggest names to take to song along the way including stars of Cinderella, Frozen, Aladdin, Beauty and the Best and the Lion King.

Where: Animagique Theatre in Walt Disney Studios Park. When you come through the entrance building (Studio 1) take a right and the studio is on your right.

When: (Currently on hiatus returning 25th February) 4 shows per day finishing up at 5.30pm. Queue 30 mins before showtime to make sure you get a good seat.

Who will enjoy it? This show has a huge fan base and its definitely the best show to see lots of favourite characters. It’s the only place to see princesses like Cinderella and Belle perform (without a long queue) and you’ll even hear Elsa sing “Let It Go” as béarla! Genie’s number is unreal!

How much does it cost? NOTHING - its totally included in your park ticket. The seats are cinema style individual seats. Priority access cardholders can enter early using a dedicated queue to choose seats best suited to their needs. Disney offers a facility to “secure your seat” for 15 EUR each. This is only needed if you want to guarantee good seats and you can only make one showtime.

My take: A super way to capture a whole lot of Disney magic - a must see.

Disney Junior Dream Factory

What is it: 20 mins of fun with Mickey, Minnie, Fancy Nancy, Vamperina and Timon! There’s fun effects with smoke bubbles and great songs!

Where: Studio D in Walt Disney Studios park. When you come through the entrance building (Studio 1) take a left and it’s in the corner under a big sign!

When: Multiple shows per day, finishing up a little early than other shows.

Who will enjoy it? Even though it’s aimed at young kids, this is a super fun show that anyone will enjoy. A lot of parents will know the songs and will find it hard to prevent a bit of toe-tapping!

How much does it cost? It’s free and there’s no option to pay extra!

My take: Way more fun for adults than it should be! I love it.

Frozen: A Musical Invitation

What is it: A 2-room interactive presentation of Frozen 1’s best songs. The first room has Sven, Anna and Kristoff. The second room is Elsa’s ice palace - stunning! You’ll learn to dance along to Let It Go and then put your moves into practice. Lots of chats with Anna, Sven and even Olaf, plus a live show-stopping performance by Elsa!

Where: Animation Celebration in Walt Disney Studios Park. Once you come through the entrance building (Studio 1) you can’t miss the “Reine De Neiges” sign behind the partners statue of Walt and Mickey.

When: Multiple times per day (at least 4 but can be more depending on the season). You want to be there 45 mins before the show time and there is a priority queue. They recently added seating for all guests.

Who will enjoy it? This is a must do experience for Frozen fans. A lot of people have been left underwhelmed by the show but it’s really the only place to see the whole Frozen crew other than the parade.

How much does it cost? Free free free. No “secure your seats” messing.

My take: Obligatory for Frozen fans but its a pity there isn’t a more worthy production for the biggest Disney movie in modern times. The cast do an amazing job saving a pretty basic show.
