What Tickets to buy?

There are 2 parks at Disneyland Paris! Right beside each other:

  • Disneyland Park, opened in 1992. Commonly referred to as “the one with the Castle” or “the main park”. This park is largely untouched since opening, because its widely regarded as the most beautiful and most balanced Disney park in the world!

  • Walt Disney Studios park, opened in 2002. Commonly (and incorrectly) referred to as Hollywood Studios or Warner Brothers, lol! This park showcases the lands of Pixar, Ratatouille, the Tower of Terror and some of the best live entertainment at Disneyland Paris. There’s also the small matter of Avenger’s Campus and the future expansion plans to include the Frozen land of Arendelle!

Staying on site? If you have bought a hotel package, your tickets are likely included in the price! This is normally the case with Disney direct or all agent with Direct disney contracts such as AttractionTickets.com, Breakaway.ie, Abbey Travel and Magic Vacations. Online outlets such as Expedia, Hotels.com and Booking.com often sell Hotel stays at Disney Hotels that do not include tickets (room-only). Check the small print before buying!

Types of standard day tickets

Day tickets for Disneyland Paris range from 1 day to 4 days. These must be used consecutively. You cannot buy general tickets on the gate. For park tickets we recommend buying Direct from Disney or potentially saving money and supporting Irish jobs by buying from AttractionTickets.com. This is an affiliate link that supports us with small sales commission, funding content and giveaways on our social channels.

  • Dated tickets: you are selecting what dates you are attending the parks. Park registration is included in these tickets. They cannot be used on any other days. You can cancel these tickets up to 3 days in advance of your attendance date. Click here to see the availability calendar for day tickets.

  • Undated tickets: these are “open” tickets that can be used any day within 1 year of purchase. They are most commonly bought as a gift. You must register your park attendance separately once you have decided when you are going.

  • Multi-day tickets: 2 / 3 / 4 day tickets must be used consecutively, you cannot take a break in between your park days and then add it on at the end.

  • 1-park tickets: This means that you must stick to the park that you first enter. These are cheaper than 2 park tickets and can be bought if you know that you are only sticking the main Disneyland Park, for example. You can leave and re-enter the same 1 park all day.

  • 2-park tickets: These tickets allow you to move between the 2 parks, you effectively have free roam. These are best on days where you want to perhaps do Walt Disney Studios in the morning and then finish in Disneyland Park for it’s parades and firework.

Top tip: If you are staying for 3 days in the parks, try pricing up 3 separate 1-day 1-park tickets. You could do the Disneyland Park on the 1st and 3rd days, and Walt Disney Studios on the 2nd day. This will always be cheaper than a 3-day 2-park ticket! This also gives you the flexibility to have a break day in the middle of your trip if staying for 4 full days or more.

  • Disney Hotel tickets: If you have your ticket purchased or included as part of a Disney Hotel package, you automatically receive 2-park tickets for every day of your stay (including your first and last day). These are built into your MagicPass room keys and include Extra Magic Time to potentially enter the parks 1 hour before non-Disney hotel guests.
